Tunnel books, also called Peepshows, became
popular paper toys in the mid 1800s. They were often published
to commemorate important events and the name probably
originated with one designed for the 1851 opening of the Thames
Tunnel in London. Pick this one up and peep into a three dimensional view of Seurat's most famous painting.
